Professor Mike (Yuangshan) Chuang is currently President of the Republic of China Multimedia English Language Instructors Association (ROCMELIA) and founding President of APAMALL. He is an international expert in the design and use of multimedia in computerised language testing with projects ranging from English in Taiwan to Chinese language learning and assessment in France. His past roles included Chair of the Project of One thousand English-learning Movies (learn.ksu.edu.tw), Chair of the Chinese Translation Project of the Common European Framework, Co-Chair of the Online CEF Chinese Test and Instruction Project with Inspector General Joel Bellasen of France Ministry of Education and most visiting scholar to Wisconsin-Madison University linguistics department. His teaching includes Statistics in linguistics, Corpus linguistics, Semantics, Sociolinguistics and Language testing. Graduating with a PhD from the University of Illinois he is a sought after international speaker and research collaborator, and is Emeritus Professor National Kaohsiung Normal University.
