Jennifer has developed effective curriculum extension tasks and co-curricular workshops. She has also worked successfully with many intelligent individuals with learning difficulties.
Decades as a school librarian gave Jennifer involvement in debating, Tournament of Minds and Days of Excellence, extra-curricular workshops (CLUES) and teaching Media and extension English. Meeting intelligent students having trouble with learning led her to the U of Q Schonell course in Diagnostic Testing and Remedial Teaching.
Since retiring from teaching, she has drawn upon her years of experience to work with students in primary and secondary schools to promote learning using quick tricks, visual and tactile learning tools, and everyday devices.
Her personal and professional life has given her a robust belief that anyone can do anything, as long as they can see the way ahead and lay hands on the tools for the job.
