Dr Shirley O'Neill
Dr Shirley O'Neill is Associate Professor, Language and Literacies in the Faculty of Education at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). She teaches in the undergraduate teacher education program in foundations of language and literacy and cross-cultural communication.
She has extensive experience in research and evaluation, assessment and teaching/teacher professional development in language and literacy education, including languages other than English and English language (EFL/ESL).
She has worked in schools in Australia and the UK and in school review, curriculum and policy development, evaluation and assessment of students’ literacy. Her most recent publications include:
